"Street Dancers"

This is a total studio painting that I was inspired to create. The setting is a cobblestone street somewhere in Europe. The male dancer in the center of the painting is another self-portrait.

I just wanted to have a scene to look at in my studio that made me feel good. I never had any intentions of selling it although I have shown it at the International Art Expo.

It presently hangs on the wall of my studio to the right of my easel. I love to look at it and imagine that I am there.

The woman dancing with me is no one in particular. If I painted it again today, it would be my wife, Judith.

This close-up best shows the layers of paint - applied with a palette knife.
