9/17 - We arrived in Lisbon, Portugal and explored the city.

                   

ABOVE - Our Art Deco Hotel and the Rossio Train Station

                   

ABOVE - The Gloria funicular opened in 1885 connecting the Restauradores area to the Bairro Alto

                   

In the park at the top of the funicular, there are great views of the city of Lisbon,

with all of its red tile roofed buildings as well as the castle.

BELOW - The streetcars reminded us of San Francisco.

They are called trams, and started in 1872.
